The Victory Tower, now called the Freedom Tower |
Today we leave the sunny crisp days and rainy
nights of Berlin to catch the train to Prague.
Yesterday we got a taste of what it was like to
live in the former GDR – from collective potty training to schooling and
apprenticeships, to concrete slab flats and Stasi listening devices.
Here is a collection of photos from around
Berlin, many of Albrecht the Bear.
Albrecht the Bear was a big hairy man who came
from the North of Germany.
He was the first ‘ruler’ of Berlin, in the 12th or
13th century.

What a lovely trip I just know you had. I was able to travel there once in my life so far, when my grandparents were still alive and living in West Berlin, as they called it then! Beautiful photos.
