My 3x great grandmother,
Mary BLUETT nee HUNN died so suddenly in 1897 that a Dr Peebles was called in
on a Saturday night to do a post mortem.
This was followed by a magisterial
inquiry the next day, on Sunday afternoon.
Mary was 59 years old. She
had been visiting her daughter, my 2x great grandmother, Mary Jane (Janie)
GRENFELL nee BLUETT and become ill while her daughter was taking her home.
She died of syncope, which
is defined as a temporary loss of consciousness and can be linked with a
cardiac problem.
You'd be about the only person left in our Society if we all died at 59!
